Foundations of Financial Management is a proven and successful text recognized for its excellent writing style and step-by-step explanations to make the content relevant and easy to understand. The text's approach focuses on the "nuts and bolts" of finance with clear and thorough treatment of concepts and applications. There is a strong real-world emphasis presented throughout. This text has definitely stood the test of time due to the authors' time, energy, and commitment to quality revisions. In addition to completing the textbook revisions, the authors also revised ALL end of chapter problems and complete the solutions themselves. Block/Hirt/Danielson know what works and what doesn't work for students, and they have consistently maintained a high quality textbook that is responsive to the demands of the marketplace.

1Not very helpful  Dec 09, 2010 By ajoberb
The book was hard to understand at times and didn't contain thought-out examples on how to complete most of the problems. The book was a little dated as well, most references were from 2007 and it is now almost 2011.

4Decent Textbook  Mar 01, 2010 By J. Brost
As far as textbooks go, this one is fairly well written and easy to understand, the end of chapter problems correspond well with the chapters, and I actually feel like I'm learning something when I pick it up. I'm impressed.

5All is good  Feb 13, 2012 By Didzis Bremze
The book arrived actually even sooner than I expected. It was a great buy and all is well, no complaints.
Thx

1Not Helpful at all  Dec 11, 2011 By James
This is not a stand-alone book. If you are good at finance already, fine, but if not, I strongly recommend getting (or keeping) an accounting book around for reference. There are hardly any examples to complete the chapter problems.
